Aaron Fishman is the founder of YAVA (formerly known as East Bali Cashews), a social enterprise that employs 400 locals to harvest and process 900 tons of cashews that are sold locally and overseas. The business is based in Karangasem, Bali, one of the poorest districts of Bali. Aaron came up with the idea to set up a local cashew processing plant to create jobs for the locals and to stop exporting high-value crops to other countries.
