Endeavor Scaleup Mindset: From Startup to Scaleup, an Entrepreneurial Journey as Told by High-Impact Entrepreneurs
Endeavor Indonesia — a non-profit organization focusing on building a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem in Indonesia — held an Opening Ceremony of Endeavor ScaleUp Mindset on September 2, 2020, via online webinar with over 650 registrants. Carrying “From Startup to Scaleup: Entrepreneurial Journey of High-Impact Entrepreneurs” theme, this event shared an inspirational story of successful founders to audiences who came from the academic field.
As a part of Endeavor Global network that has successfully created more than 4.1 M jobs around the world, Endeavor Indonesia aims to spread positive impact in the economic and entrepreneurial ecosystem in Indonesia through High-Impact Entrepreneurship (HIE). As per today, as many as 55 entrepreneurs from 42 companies have been selected and becoming Endeavor High-Impact Entrepreneur. They are assessed to have the potential to scale up their business and double the impact for Indonesia’s economic growth, high-quality jobs creation and the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Indonesia.
Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., DIC, Ph.D, Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture, Republic of Indonesia, stated,
“Higher education, as a producer of the next generation of positive leaders and developer of science, technology, and innovation is one of the main keys to the revival of the economy through an entrepreneurial spirit that needs to be encouraged, maintained and amplified; and it requires the efforts of all parties to move it. Therefore, HIE’s role and organization that support HIE like Endeavor are vital, because they influence other young founders or entrepreneurs through their success stories in building and scaling up their business.”
Endeavor Scaleup Mindset by Endeavor Indonesia presents seasoned entrepreneurs that have successfully scaled their business and created a high impact, as the source of knowledge. In this semester-long monthly webinar, audiences are expected to learn from real-life entrepreneurs on building and scaling up business through 6 different topic series: All About Fashion Business, F&B Business, Tech Business, Talent & Culture, Marketing & Branding, and Funding & Fundraising. Among speakers are Carline Darjanto (Cottonink), Rex Marindo (Foodizz.id), Irzan Raditya (Kata.ai), Arief Widhiyasa (Agate International), Yukka Harlanda (Bro.do) and Achmad Zaky (Init-6).
The webinar series is supported by eight institutions namely Universitas Ciputra, Universitas Airlangga, Politeknik Elektronika Negeri Surabaya, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Bina Nusantara, Universitas Indonesia, and Tanoto Foundation, expected to contributes up to 1,000 students in total for each webinar session.
Vice-Rector for Finance and Logistics, Universitas Indonesia Vita Silvira, S.E., MBA. stated during the Opening Ceremony,
“It is a challenge for academics to keep up with the rapid development in the world of entrepreneurship as it is today and the Endeavor Scaleup Mindset program is expected to provide broad insights for the younger generation”.
Through this Opening Ceremony, audiences were given the opportunity to understand how two Endeavor High-Impact Entrepreneurs started their business and lead during the current crisis situation.
