“Tiger is the kind of entrepreneur who is meant to build a unicorn, very impressive! He’s building a challenging business but his long-term vision of being a part of Indonesia’s digital infrastructure in logistics is fascinating,” said Firat Isbecer, CEO & Co-Founder, Commencis (Endeavor Turkey Board Member).

Prior to Kargo, Tiger helped to launch Uber’s operations in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and China from scratch and scaled operations in Indonesia & Western China, serving as General Manager. Before Uber, Tiger worked at Lazada as the company’s managing director, leading the firm’s commercial developments in Thailand and Vietnam. Before a career in tech, Tiger was the Assistant Vice President of Alternative Investments at Bank of America Merrill Lynch based in New York.

Kargo was founded in 2018 and transformed Indonesia’s US$ 250 billion trucking industry. At ~25% of the nation’s GDP, Indonesia’s logistics cost is among the world’s highest. Trucks move everything, yet billions of kilometres are driven empty. The whole supply chain largely depends on phone calls and paper. Kargo is reimagining logistics with technology.

In 2019, Kargo raised a US$ 7.6 million seed funding round led by Sequoia Capital India. Travis Kalanick’s 10100 fund; Pandu Sjahrir’s Agaeti Ventures; Patrick Walujo, co-founder of Northstar Group; Intudo Ventures; Zhenfund; ATM Capital; and Innoven Capital also participated in the funding round.

Endeavor believes that its support in market expansion and capital raising will set Kargo up for success during this phase of hyper-growth and Tiger Fang’s professional & entrepreneurial experiences can be a great role model for the next generation of High-Impact Entrepreneurs.
